The Letterpress workshop in GWA (Grafische Werkplaats Amsterdam) was fun. Personally I'm a little less interested in 2D design, because I don't understand yet how to make a purpose out of it, except from exchanging information (which can also be done through other ways). Maybe it makes me think to much about the branding lesson I got at the Fashion school.
I did really appreciate the craftmanship and the knowledge of the people working in the atelier.
My final work is not final, or maybe even nice to look at. You can call it a mess and that cool to me. During the workshop I found out a lot of people were trying to make beautifull pieces of art. Myself, I was just trying out the machinary and was curious for the outcome.
During the weekend of the first week om Makerslab I've visited OBJECT Rotterdam.

After the workshop in Textielmusuem Tilburg I've paid a visit to the Pont at the end of the street and to the libary of Tilburg, big recommendation.
We had to present ourself to the class by means of an object. I brought my first shoe I upgraded during my half year of last couple of months. I made these at the workshop of Hendrick's Ambachtelijk Schoenmaker.
I talked about how I would like to infiltrate the inovative footwear industry.

First of all mayor credit to Dusanka for the extraordinary beautiful illustrations. It has be a pleasure working together.
The first ever workshop with got during our minor 'Makerslab'. In my opinion a great introduction. I was a big fan of how Bas (and Studio Overvelde) science and origami used in such a way that I became fun and attractive.
This is what I want to learn during the courses. Where do the "interesting" people get there inspiration from.
Textielmuseum was great and I was really looking forward to it again. I'm a big fan of Tilburg and Noord Brabant in general. There can be found a lot of knowledge (about craftmanship) in the South of the Netherlands.
We got the same tour as always which is fine. Always good to refresh so now and then. During the tour we saw Lizan Freijsen in really working on her famously mold-lookinglike carpets.
The workshop we got about sashiko was fun. And easy and good looking way to repair jeans. The technique itself isn't that diffilcult at all, but the way this upgrade your garment instead of keeps it the same is dope.
